2020 has been a whirlwind of a year. Can it really already be June???

With everything being so uncertain, we must press on in serving the children of the Philippines. Thank you for continuing to provide much needed funds for children and families through sponsorship. As we enter mid-2020, it is important to start thinking about the end of the year and things to remember. Here are some important dates to remember for the rest of 2020:

August 10—College Scholarship payments due (subject to change). We will be sending out scholarship budget letters for your scholar with their individual info. If you have any questions, please contact our office.

August 15—This is the last day to send items in an LCW shipment to be able to arrive in time for Christmas. Please keep in mind, we are always packing boxes, so you can send your Christmas presents in any time and they will be placed in the Christmas shipment. If you’d like to help with our general Christmas distribution, this year we are still in need of: marbles, matchbox cars, small dolls, and children/youth books for distribution!

August 24—Lord willing, this will be the first day of school for all educational levels in the Philippines. If you would like to give a special gift for your child to be able to purchase supplies or uniforms, August would be a great month to do that. Unfortunately, with the pandemic causing disruptions in being able to gather large crowds, this date may change sometime in the future.

November 10—This is the last day to be able to pay $85 for Health Insurance for your sponsored family and have them be covered for NEXT year, 2021. You can make these payments anytime before November 10 to be sure your family is covered for medical emergencies.

December 10—This is the FINAL day to be able to send monetary Christmas gifts and have the funds arrive in time for Christmas. The earlier the better. To be sure your child receives their gift by Christmas, please send the Christmas gift by November 10. You can always send the funds after, but your family will not be able to have them for Christmas.

We understand that 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone,  especially financially. We thank you greatly for your willingness to continue supporting your sponsored child and their family in       whatever way you are able. As always, additional gifts and insurance are not compulsory. You are welcome to give if you are able, but there is no pressure to give above and beyond your usual sponsorship. If you are having financial difficulty and need to suspend your sponsorship temporarily, please let our office know. We have contingency funds to help cover those months.
